The Feeling That Pulled Me Back

I’ve drawn Adventure Time before, but this one felt different. Something about the show kept pulling at me — that mix of chaos, heart, and sincerity that’s easy to forget until you revisit it. This time, I wanted things to feel loose and alive. Jake’s exaggerated movement and Finn’s fearless energy gave me room to lean into bold shapes and strong motion instead of perfection. I wanted the drawing to feel a little messy in the best way. Going back to characters like these reminds me why I love drawing cartoons in the first place.
