Showing Up Anyway

Shaggy has always felt relatable to me — the anxiety, the jokes, the constant hunger, and the heart underneath it all. He’s not fearless or confident, but he still shows up when it counts. That push and pull is what I wanted to sit with here. I focused on his expression and posture, that moment where fear, humor, and loyalty all exist at the same time. He’s scared, unsure, and overwhelmed… but he keeps going. That’s what makes him feel human. This drawing isn’t about heroics — it’s about caring, even when you’re nervous, and showing up anyway.
