Skin Revamp Commission

This project began with a client who wanted to breathe new life into their existing Minecraft skin while preserving the character they had been using for years.

Rather than completely redesigning the skin, the objective was to modernize it while keeping its original identity intact. My initial approach focused on subtle improvements that enhanced the overall quality without straying too far from the familiar design.

The first revision included upgraded shading and texturing, the addition of 3D clothing layers for extra depth, transparent sunglasses for a cleaner appearance, and a redesigned pair of swim shorts that better matched the character's summer aesthetic. Since the client hadn't specified how far they wanted to deviate from the original, I intentionally kept the redesign conservative to ensure it still felt like their character.

After reviewing the first draft, the client requested a handful of adjustments, including refinements to the shorts, improvements to the sunglasses, and several smaller details. Through an iterative feedback process, each revision brought the design closer to the client's vision until the final result was exactly what they were looking for.
